Kristin grew up in a family of sports enthusiasts in a small town in Germany. "My father was a football player and coach and so was my brother. I got into equestrian sports at a quite young age and started with classical dressage, volting and show jumping, before I found my passion for Polo. Today, I am an enthusiastic Polo player and currently hold a handicap of 0.
Having played Polo in different countries worldwide, Kristin has made Argentina her home away from home. Here is where you find the best Polo in the World and here is also her small String of Ponies located! Kristin, however, isn't limited to horse Polo: "I participated multiple times in the Kings Cup Elephant Polo in Thailand and I range among the best lady players in the world." Kristin has been trained by some amazing Polo Coaches such as Steve Thompson and Thomas Winter and still frequently reaches out to them for help with her technique. "I am a strong believer of lifelong learning and training", she says.
"In 2017 I had my first interaction with coaching when I received a small session by a mental coach just before an important game. In the following match I scored 5 of the winning 6 goals. And got immediately hooked up with the methods and the power of mental training. So I decided to become the first Mental Game Coach, specialized in the peculiar issues that Polo players face!"
Kristin is a Level I IMGCA Certified Mental Game Instructor, certified by the International Mental Game Coaching Association, USA. However she undergoes permanent training to gain new knowledge about the latest state-of-the-art techniques in the field of mental training. "
I studied Economics in Germany and Italy and majored in Marketing and Global Management. Besides of Italy, I lived in Dubai and Argentina. In Dubai I used to work as International Sales Manager for different major FMCG brands. In 2017 I spent a year in Argentina to improve my Polo handicap and get into coaching. Meanwhile I got certified in Mental Game Coaching from the International Mental Game Coaching Association (IMGCA).
Although Polo is my passion, I have coached athletes from different disciplines, such as Golf or Rugby - and have also done coachings for people in corporate business as well. I am happy to discuss whatever might be your personal challenge that we can work together on!
The mission of the IMGCA is to advance the research, development, professionalism, and growth of the discipline of Mental Game Coaching worldwide. The IMGCA was the world's first mental game coaching membership organization, created January 1st, 2006.
